Training from the BACK of the Room – Virtual Edition. Bringing through the key learnings from the in-person class but designed specifically for the virtual classroom, this 5-part, train the trainer program empowers learners to explore how the human brain really learns, and learn how to apply this knowledge in their own virtual training courses.
During the class, you practise six powerful learning principles based on the best of brain science, then you apply these principles every time you train, teach, or coach others. You collect dozens of interactive instructional strategies you can use with any topic and any group of learners.
You learn about the 4Cs Map – a powerful 4-step instructional design and delivery model – and use it to create your own virtual training plan specific to a topic you teach online. As part of the course you will present this plan to the group and receive feedback in the form of “glows and grows” from the perspective of fellow trainers.
You also receive a digital workbook that is only available with this program, as well as a copy of Sharon Bowman’s best-selling book: “Training from the BACK of the Room!”
Training from the BACK of the Room – Virtual Edition has been designed to leverage the benefits of a virtual class – including splitting the course into 5 short modules across three weeks, allowing for independent study between sessions.
The class relies on attendees completing 90 – 120 minutes of warm up and follow up learning activities between sessions – watching video clips, reading articles, reflecting on learning and commenting on the reflections of others. This allows learners to focus on applying their knowledge during the facilitated sessions.
With this in mind, attendees must commit to attending all five sessions and completing homework assignments between sessions when registering for the course.
